Who we are:

Oregon Community UMC is a quaint little chapel nestled back on Creek Road in the village of Oregon--just North of Oregon Dairy. The worship includes traditional hymns and an engaging, practical, Bible-based message. It provides an intimate atmosphere where you can get to really know other people and have them care for you. Oregon Community is not just a name, it really speaks to who we are. If you are looking for a worship community where you can get to know people and be known, Oregon Community UMC may be the place for you.

OREGON COMMUNITY UMC - UPCOMING EVENTS:

Worship Services Have Been Moved to a FULLY ONLINE FORMAT in Response to the COVID-19 Corona Virus until Further Notice

We have been experimenting with Facebook Live for offering Daily Devotionals and are planning to use that same technology for Sunday Morning Worship. Please click on Sermons on the Menu Bar on the left side of the screen to see the link for the upcoming sermon and the daily devotional videos--as well as podcasts of sermons.

Response to the COVID-19 Corona Virus Pandemic: All Worship Services, Bible Studies and most meetings are suspended until April.

Blessings to you and yours! At Faith UMC we care deeply about our church family and our neighbors. We want all of you to stay healthy and safe. We have been closely monitoring the updates on COVID-19 (and flu season) and making adjustments as information has been made available--urging folks to stay home if they are at risk of contracting or spreading viruses, doing additional sanitizing of our facilities, changing elements of worship, etc. As of today, we have made the difficult decision to suspend all gatherings at Oregon Community UMC. We are cancelling Bible Studies, Chatting at the General Sutter, most meetings, as well as Worship Services for at least the next two weeks. We also decided to cancel the Breakfast with the Easter Bunny that was scheduled for April 4th at Faith UMC. The Scrapbooking Event planning meeting has been pushed back until April 21 at 6:30pm. We also pushed back the OCUMC Craft and Yard Sale until May 2.

We will evaluate the status of disease control and make a decision about other events in April over the next few weeks--including Holy Week Services. We will be experimenting with different formats for holding digital versions of worship services, Bible studies, and meetings. Stay tuned for details on that via Facebook and our website. Click on Sermons on the Menu Bar on the left side of the screen to see Sermons and Daily Devotional videos--as well as podcasts of sermons.

If there is anything that we can do for you during this season please let us know. If you need medication or food delivered to you, if you find yourself struggling to pay bills, or if you need someone to talk to as you deal with the stresses of all that is going on, please call or email Pastor Jason. And if you are in a position to show kindnesses to neighbors and strangers, we encourage you to let this current season bring out the very best in all of us as we care for one another.

May God bless you and keep you! You are in our prayers.

Pastor Jason Perkowski
