Who we are:
Oregon Community UMC is a quaint little chapel nestled back on Creek Road in the village of Oregon--just North of Oregon Dairy. The worship includes traditional hymns and an engaging, practical, Bible-based message. It provides an intimate atmosphere where you can get to really know other people and have them care for you. Oregon Community is not just a name, it really speaks to who we are. If you are looking for a worship community where you can get to know people and be known, Oregon Community UMC may be the place for you.
OREGON COMMUNITY UMC - UPCOMING EVENTS:
Worship Services on Schedule for Sunday, January 19
Both Oregon Community UM and Faith UM Churches are well plowed and on schedule for Sunday Worship Services at 9am and 10:30 AM respectively. I'm excited to be back in the pulpit after 10 days away in Iowa exploring the intersection of faith and politics during caucus season. Everyone who is safe to drive, depending on roads in your neighborhood, is invited to join us for worship. There is also 8am Sunday School at Oregon and 9am Sunday School (youth and adult) at Faith.
Chatting at the General Sutter - Mondays at 7pm at the General Sutter Inn
Chatting at the General Sutter Inn takes place every Monday from 7-8pm, using a new curriculum called The Wired Word. We will discuss various topics that have been in the news—making space for different opinions and for folks to enjoy an evening of conversation. Perhaps we will learn something new. This group is open to everyone.
We encourage you to bring friends out for dinner and a discussion. You can buy appetizers, a meal and/or drinks during the session. Visit http://ChattingAtTheGeneralSutter.us for more info of the upcoming topics (website address will be updated in the August--but the content is already converted to our new format). Please like and follow us on Facebook to get weekly updates: Chatting at the General Sutter - Lititz.

Youth meet every Sunday—normally at Faith UMC from 5-7 pm. We also have Sunday School at Faith UMC at 9am and at Long Memorial UMC at 9:30am. For more info about upcoming events, please check out the Youth Section of our Website. Permission Slips are needed for all off-site trips and can be downloaded from the Youth Section of our Website. RSVP each week (on sign up sheets at Faith UMC, by text or by calling Pastor Jason) so that we can plan accordingly for chaperones, food and vehicles. January 19 (and most 3rd Sundays of the month except for December and Summer) we will meet at 3:30 PM to carpool up to the Gretna Glen Campground for a day of fun activities on the lake and grounds of the camp. There will be a campfire, a devotional, worship, games, archery, and lots of youth from various churches in the region. We will be back at the church by 7 PM.
The Youth will NOT meet on Sunday, Dec. 1 after Thanksgiving, or on Sunday, Dec 22 or Dec. 29 around Christmas.
Winter Blast Retreat will be at Gretna Glen Camp for the youth from February 7th, 7:00pm to February 9th, 2:00pm instead of going to the Rally in Ocean City, MD. Grades 6th-12th graders only. Cost is $90 but the churches may subsidize some of the cost of the event--stay tuned for details. A $25 deposit is due to Faith UMC by December 15th to save your space.

This is a new small group.
